Practical impression
The manufacturer promotes its Glaco Roll On glass sealant as an “invisible wiper” from around 45–60 km/h, with significantly improved visibility. Independently of the formal test objective, we assess whether wiper use is practically eliminated and whether visibility in everyday driving actually improves.
Application: Clean the windshield, apply in a cross pattern, allow to flash off for 5–10 min, wipe off – quick, self-explanatory, and tolerant of minor errors. Disposable gloves and fresh air are advisable (noticeable alcohol odor). In practice, it’s hard to do anything wrong.
Driving impression: Below ~50 km/h, droplets are visible and wiper intervals become noticeably longer. Between ~50–80 km/h, droplet movement is briefly perceptible but not disturbing; above >80 km/h the windshield appears very calm, and droplets are barely visible. Overall: less light scatter/glare and more relaxed driving.
Conclusion from a consumer perspective: onvincing across the board, pronounced hydrophobic effect – highly recommended. Noticeable “invisible wiper” effect from ~50 km/h.Note: Contains propanol; ventilate during application and avoid skin contact. No child safety closure and visually appealing – store out of reach of children.
Note: Subjective user experience of the tester – including prior experience, expectations, and personal impressions during application. It reflects a personal, situational assessment and is not part of the DTI rating. It does not replace objective testing or advice and does not create any legal claims. The goal is to provide consumers with an assessment that is close to everyday use.
